The accepted assumption that thinning hair and hair loss is genetic and
unavoidable has changed. Thinning hair can be treated and prevented.
Although androgenic hormones play a role, it's equally the lack of
proper health and cleansing that causes these problematic yet treatable
conditions. After years of research, trials and development, Scalp & Skin
Works created SCALP SYSTEMS. The removal of negative influences,
allows the scalp the ability to heal and resume healthy hair growth.
Skin care for the scalp cleansing treatments have shown to aid in healthier
hair growth by removing excess skin cells, dirt oil and product build up.
Stimulation of the peel and scrub bring oxygen and nutrient rich blood to the
surface. When combined with certified organic hair care products and
essential oils and extracts, the hair grows healthy, strong and beautiful.
The era of thinning hair prevention and treatment has begun . Until now,
no one had considered the cause of most hair loss and problem scalp conditions
would be poor epidermal health. Finding the majority of thinning hair loss
was multi-faceted, Scalp & Skin Works incorporated essential steps, measures
and camera scope technology, addressing what they found to be the primary
reasons and root causes of thinning hair and problem scalp conditions. When
thickened sebum is absorbed into the layers of skin cells, it becomes
oxygenated and acts like an organic glue. Once this barrier and follicle
congestion is removed and healthy environments restored, the scalps ability to
heal and hair growth resumes. Hair producing follicles multiply in numbers
while miniaturized fine hairs become stronger and develop into terminal
hair. Additonally, our scalp cleansing enhances the absorption rate and
effectiveness of hair therapy programs that incorportate FDA approved hair
re-growth agents.
The Treatment: Organic natural fruit enzymes and peels rich in essential
nutrients, beta-carotene, amino acids, and antioxidants dissolve excess skin
cells gently on the scalp. Systematically, the therapeutic manual scrub,
enhances exfoliation, excellerates hair growth, bringing oxygen and nutrient
rich blood to the follicle, while leaving the scalp feeling exceptionally clean.
Plaque: An over abundance of hardened layers of skin cells, waxy
crystallized sebum and years of product and mineral deposits. This organic
co-polymer blocks hair from penetrating the surface. Eventually, hair growth
stops and hair loss starts.
Scope Extraction is the most fascinating part of the treatment. With a 400
magnification cosmetic scope and monitor screen in front of them, clients view
their scalp condition. They clearly see the extraction of sebum clogs
being safely removed from the follicle cavity. "Amazing", is the term often
used when viewing toxins being pressed out from the follicle.
Treatable Scalp Conditions include scaly patches, demodicosis, folliculitis,
eczema and psoriasis. All are associated with the sebum gland,
hyper-production of skin cells and fungal related conditions of the scalp. Scalp
cleansing helps to remove these barriers allowing the skin of the scalp to move
and breathe.
Fibrosis Scaring. Enzyme and Glycolic peels have shown to help remove the
build up of fibrosis scaring in most clients. With each cleansing treatment, the
upper most layer of skin is exfolliated by a highly effective manual scrub,
stimulating new cell growth. Eventually, healthy skin layers are reached and
hygiene controlled, allowing the scalps natural healing process resumes.
Perspiration contains high levels of oil, DHT and salt, that when left on the
scalp, dehydrate the skin and add to the accumulation of build-up.
Sebum is a naturally ocurring oil produced from the sebaceous gland
that in heathy hair and scalps, add shine and manageability to the hair.
In thinning and pattern hair loss cases, sebum becomes a waxy substance
adhering to the hair congesting the follicle cavity. Sebum contains highly
active amounts of DHT, which results in malnutrition and miniaturization of
the hair root. When sebum begins to harden, weakened hair can no longer
penetrate the clog. With the opening closed off, sebum continues to
accumulate enlarging the follicle sack.
Demodex Mites also known as occular mites, are parasites that colonize the
epidermis wherever there are hair roots, sebaceous glands and warm
environments exist. In medical communities, the parasite is commonly known
as the eyelash, eyebrow or ocular mite. Occular mites, show the same
symptoms of red inflamed tissue, scaling of skin cells, itch and hair loss,
just as the Demodex of the follicle. The mite only exits the follicle to breed
upon the surface of the scalp. As it crawls, it picks up bacteria, fungus and
other impurities, then burrows back into the scalp introducing possible
infection. Demodex mites lay up to 25 eggs in the follicle, then die shortly
after in their own acidic waste. Demodex thrive, continually feeding on dead
skin cells, hormones and sebum, which are abundant in the warm, moist
environment of scalp and face. By middle age and sometimes younger, the
mite has begun to colonize the face and scalp. Sadly, the end result is acne,
itchy head, scalp pimples, hair loss and problem skin.
Current options address the symptom rather than root causes. Prevention
or treatment is rarely mentioned. Many claim hair growth, although only a
small percentage of consumers experience success, most of which is minimal
and often lost when the treatment has ended. The Scalp & Skin Works
terminal hair, while stronger hair producing follicles multiply in numbers.
When used in tandem with cleansing treatments, the effectiveness of FDA
approved topical regrowth agents and oral hair
In most pattern hair loss, the hair and follicle are effected by the conversion of
Testosterone into DHT, Dihydrotestosterone. DHT has shown to cause
dehydration, malnutrition and miniaturization of the hair bulb. As scalp
conditions deteriorate, skin cells accumulate and cover follicle openings.
The Hair Growth Cycle:
3 Demodex tails along side a hair,
sticking out of the hair follicle.
Demodex on the skin.
(a) Healthy hair follicles.
(b) Demodex in the
follicle along side hairs.
(c) Infested, inflamed and enlarged
follicle with sebum clog.
